I was a part time employee working g full time hour with a availability of 10pm to 6am my schedule was changed to 9pm to 5am with out notice I explained to the schedule person cuz there is no HR that it hard for me to get here at 9pm due to my at home schedule her response was that how the store manger wants its. I also spoke with store Assistant manager and do to the pendemic he said loews was paying attention to latness just come in to work. About 2/3 weeks later I was fired for time and attendance specifically from being late by my store ASM. He told me I need to take this up to corporate there’s nothing he can do. I really would like to clear this up and get my job back if l possible please someone contact me.

  2. Good afternoon I would like to report a concern I have at the store I work at 0434 gainesville ga. I was hired in as a cabinet specialist in training. I am having major concerns in my department do to the person that is a cabinet specialist. This particular person is talking down to me in a harsh manner. This person has stated to me that I should know what I am doing with out any training. She has shown no effort to train me. without proper training I will not have the knowledge I need to do the job I was hired to do.I was told I’d be sent to another store for training but it has not yet happened. This is causing me stress at work and at home. The person I’m speaking about is very negative towards me with a very harsh demeanor. I have brought this to the attention of my supervisor. I enjoy my job I love working at Lowe’s but with the situation it is causing me personal stress and anxiety. I feel something should be done with the situation but nothing has been changed. I don’t mean to come across negative but in order for me to continue doing my job I’m eating somebody to address the situation.

  3. My son, is an employee and was hurt Wednesday night and today is Friday. He has broken bones and it took until 6:45pm just to get his medication and now we can not get a hold of them to get a claim number to see the surgeon that he is suppose to see. My next step is to give them until 5 pm today then Monday we will protest of the treatment of their employees and customers, I will call a few of the News stations, then we are having to get an attorney.

  4. Why are we forced to wear Face masks in the store on our days off when we come to shop. The store i work for told us if we as employees come to store to shop we have to wear a mask even if we are off the clock. But they cant force customers to do the same. I believe being we are not company time we should not be force to wear a mask if customers who come in dont or wont. Its my day off im not a employee im a customer.

  5. I’m not an employee thank god, but recently purchased a shower kit special order. It just came in I called to set up delivery because of the virus. I’m a 59 year old single woman by the way. They were charging $79.00 OK place it on my Lowe’s card the store clerk needed a security code from it there isn’t one. After 30+ minutes going around in circles with her I hung up. Waited a bit called back ask for manager and had the same conversation with him. I then called card services talked with two people there the second placed me on hold for an hour. Called back three hours later to card services and two attendants transferred me finally the third told me that these cards do not have security code and the store us responsible for calling then to get help in process in processing cards properly. I then called the store again and explained the situation and he told me to give him a minute he would look into it, it took him 30 minutes I called back again he put me off again. So I hoped in my car and paid hi. A visit I asked him if I had to show them how to do their damn job and let’s call card services. He told me to stop cussing I told him if he got the run around like I did today he would be cussing too. None of these Lowe’s employees were concerned about the virus or me at all. They were just trying to get out of doing their job.

  6. 3-31-20. 230pm…. took the offered time off because of the events going on… kids home… wife works in the nursing field… honestly have no problem complying with stay at home orders.. believe there proper… my problem is trying to contact a HUMAN BEING ACTUALLY IN “HR” …my immediate manager and his manager, with all due respect, are NOT HR…they have just been given the responsibility of dealing with situations they never asked to deal with… I would like to communicate,by EAR, to a human being ACTUALLY IN HR… doesn’t every person working for a company with an HR department have that right… right now I’m being shuffled between department managers, hours at a time on hold, and recordings… I HAVE QUESTIONS PLEASE ANSWER THEM LIKE I’M A HUMAN BEING, STOP SHUFFLING ME AROUND, Oh, and can we do this in a timely manner please..

I am an employee of 1863, I would like to know WHY certain female employee can get away with constant call offs, & NCNS, (January25th late,January 26th NCNS, February 1st late,February 2nd NCNS she bragged about that one) showing up Late, not by few minutes either 30mins to an hr, wear open shoes, ( against dress codes). Yet other employees are fired for 1 or 2 late show ups or call offs.

  9. I’ve been with Lowes for 15 years like the company. Been in three different stores total over the years. I have been department manager of seasonal, paint, appliances, also sales specialist in flooring and mill works, also in pro sales for awhile and a ASM. I would think with the knowledge I have you think the new store I’m in would at least interview me for one of the 17 different positions I have applied for within the store in over a year. Our store is severely under staffed you would think they would consider someone who actually cares about there job and knows the system might be a good candidate and for every person they have put in those positions have sense quit. I believe in knowledge is the key to a successful store and repeat business. Just would like a chance to prove my worth I’ve been a million dollar producer for the company in the past but not in this store its like if your not in the group so to speak you wont get in. All I can say is they are missing out

A message states: I am “locked out ” I need to contact a person to reset my account as my login failed!. I need to contact a person to “reset” and “UNLOCK” so I can get access to get my schedule.   11. I AM A NEW EMPLOYEE, ABOUT A MONTH NOW. SHIFT SIGN IN AND OUT IS PATHETIC. EVERYTIME I SIGN IN IT SAYS IM NOT ON THE SCHEDULE. THEN I HAVE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS TO SIGN IN AND OUT. THE WORST PART OF ALL THIS IS….. I HAVE NOT BEEN PAID YET. I CHECK MY PAYROLL AND IT SAYS A CHECK HAS BEEN ISSUED. I HAVE DIRECT DEPOSIT. WHAT IS THE HOLD UP? ALSO THE WAY THEY RUN THE OVER NIGHT HOURS IS PATHETIC. 9:30 PM – 5:30 AM. YOU WORK AN 8 HOUR SHIFT BUT ONLY GET 3 HOURS IN THE PAY AND THE BALANCE IS CARRIED OVER TO THE NEXT PAY PERIOD.

    1. Depends when u start at Lowe’s first time. If u work during the week they get paid u get paid up to that point. Then u get paid every two weeks on Fridays. Check your bank what hold up is. Do they deposit the day I get paid.or next day. Go get a credit union auto pay. It’s faster.

Thats a tough one.i. just a normal employee and my managers are giving my the worst time transfer to another store out of state.they even wanted me to resign or thought I want to resign .one manager told me I would have to quit and then re-apply again and thats not right.my kinda HR not really a HR that is no help managers are more concerned about me leaving than really help me its a big mess.i just want transfer and move with my job at lowes.Im a receiver/day stock/unloader/pull internet orders if they need help i volunteer to come in .I’m grateful to work at Lowes but if I need something from my mangers it’s like I’m wasting their time.if you a vest or box cutter or gloves their right there but if its important nope. So I completely understand.

  13. the worst thing lowes have done lately(to add to the list)is getting rid of the HRs in store.the company does not want the employee to have a mediator in the store which means the employees issues usually never get resolved.this keeps lowes in total control.ive seen this a lot.lowes should study the course of history and remember that it was the employees who sued the company against unfair working conditions (extended hours at un fair pay)and WON.might just take the law to put them in there place when it comes to company practices.if anyone has issues that there store doesnt resolve contact cust care and let them know your seeking legal procedings if not resolved

    1. I started in November as a part-time employee. I hold two other jobs. I am usually scheduled every weekend. I needed days off to see family out of state I never got a response to my request. Since it was getting close I also tried to get people to swap with me but many in my department already had things going on. There’s no other information of getting an employee from another department to swap with. there is limited staff in the paint department. This is the time that Lowe’s cuts its staff to the bare minimum and works their employees to death. I was told by many in management that this comes from the corporate office. Lowe’s has no work-life balance policy. I only can see my grandchildren who are out of state only certain times of the year when they are off of school. Other companies I have work for a two week notice was more than enough time to let them know that I would not be working that scheduled days. When I got no response and could not get anybody in the paint department to swap with me I informed the manager of the department that I would not be here that weekend and I sent an email through company email. I wish I had sent it to my home email also. The management doesn’t talk to each other. I hear all the time I did not know about it. I requested a weekend off in December it was approved, I was scheduled it clearly showed the day was approved and I still had to have them correct the alert on that day that read no-call no-show. So some people knew I was not going to be there and the asm’s did not. There is no database for the management and supervisors to be able to check who’s coming and going, I’ve never seen anything like it. Since I told my direct supervisor/ manager by speaking to him directly and knowing I needed to cya I also sent him an email they knew I was not going to be in. However I was let go for violating company policy because the email was unacceptable. I was expected to call in every day that I was scheduled. I guess I should have just called in sick for the three days and not let them know ahead of time. I’ve never heard of anything so ridiculous in my whole life. Lowe’s needs better communication. I never trusted just having communication verbally. I always confirm my conversation I have with anybody in management via email. I have a history of decades working with several companies, my degree is in business management and administration, this was a part time job. I now know why everybody walks around with a frown on their face, stressed out, tired and are overworked. Customers main complaint about Lowe’s if they can never find enough help. When I would bring certain things up and say I’ve never seen anything like it they would tell me oh it’s the Lowe’s way. The economy is good, unemployment is low and the workforce does not have to put up with crap like this. Find a company that appreciates you and doesn’t treat you like you’re in kindergarten and also had an HR department.

      1. I have been at Lowe’s for 5 1/2 years and my hours have been cut so much that I had to find a third job. My manager says that Lowe’s doesn’t work around other job schedules. Hmmm… well, when I was hired, they did. Now I cannot change my availability.

I completely agree with you that taking HR out of a store where your employees need that person doesn’t make your employees happy in the end bc they know they’re nothing now they have no one to help them. If you want happy customers you have to treat your employees with just the amount of respect & care for those who don’t have to work through what we have to. Targets moto is the customers are our “guests” how many pissed off customers have you seen at Lowe’s bc there isn’t anyone to help in the dpt that they need assistance in. We are a “customer based” store With all of this covid-19 going around Lowe’s has done a complete flip to what safety really is. They put it into their own words bc, if you really cared about the safety of your customers AND employee’s you would shut every store down or only have the ESSENTIAL dpts’s open bc last time I checked plants & paint are not a necessity to living.There is no way to stop spread of something when you have all your deptartmts open, no quantity limit for how many people come in and out & frankly we’ve had our receiving person make face masks for us bc our store has yet to protect us. After the fact of 4 PEOPLE HAVING CONFIRMED CASES OF COVID while my store manger & other managers are at home right now on quarantine but the rest of us have to still have to be here through everything. Give me a little sticker that says “stay A 6 foot distance” when they clearly have to get up close in my bubble to read what the sticker has to say. You guys really need to treat your employees better we are the FACE of YOUR company!!!!!! We love to work where we do but making all these changes that aren’t helping anyone out in the long run isn’t good at all. You have lost so so many good workers…i have Noticed that the demeanor of The local customers & employee’s of the store has gone down drastically. People know when their flooring person isn’t there anymore…..keep that in mind of how much money & love for the company you’ve lost & are continuing to loose.

  14. I work at store 1866 as a receiver/stocker/unload associate, coverage for paint and I train new associates. Been here for a year, I consider myself good at the job, yet why am I training people who make more than I do? Is it my best bet to just quit and rehire in 6months, basically the only way to get a raise here from what other associates tell me. It doesnt make sense to me why I would train somebody “more qualified” than me. Im sorry but this company is total crap and they treat their employees like crap. Im just plain old sick and tired of it.

  16. I worked for store #178 in Orem and have yet to receive my paycheck for Friday, July 5th, and it is now the 10th. I have contacted Amber from the Orem Lowes, multiple times without a reply. Friday the 5th was my last day, so I not only have a check for the 5th I haven’t received, but I have a “last pay check” coming to me. I sent a nice email to Amber yesterday, asking her to reply to me by the 10th or I would be forced to call someone to help me. That would include the Labor Comminssion as well as the corporate HR for Lowes since this is my 7th or 8th attempt to contact her without a reply. I still have not received a reply. I also tried to get an answer from her on how they would handle my paycheck from the 5th several days before my last day, and DID NOT receive a response. I’m extremely disappointed that there has been no communucation. I should also note that my paychecks up to this point have taken over a week to reach me. What is the problem here? Does Lowes not feel they have to pay their employees in a timely manner without consequences? If they do, they need to train their people in charge of it.

    1. There is no communication. I told 6 managers I needed more hours for 3 weeks. A full time position was posted in my department same position so I applied and got an email they are considering other candidates.

    1. sounds to me like you just got too old, I’m trying to get hired at 70 yrs old with 20 years Military and another 20 years with the Federal Government. Twenty Nine years experience in the position applying for but being told they decided to proceed with other candidates. What does that sound like???

    2. Call a lawyer. Preferably one that does HR. Laying people off at your age is age discrimination unless they can prove you either broke a code of conduct, did something illegal, got caught stealing, taking drugs, or something against the code of conduct.

      They have to prove that they did not replace your work with someone younger, or you were not qualified for the job you had. And if they lay off over 50 people within a certain distance, I think 250 miles then they must give you 60 days notice.

      If you work less than 20 hours per week you are not covered by the Warn act, but are always covered by age discrimination.
